For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.  Ephesians 2:10

The Summer Palace and Olympic Park

First, I want to apologize to all who may be reading this blog. I am tired and apparently, the first thing to go are my spelling and grammatical skills. -- If I actually had them in the first place--- I reread yesterday's post and couldn't believe the number of errors. Oops. I would go back and correct them if I could. For now, you'll have to mentally correct them and move on.
Yesterday, we went to the Summer Palace and Olympic Park. I would love to share with you some of what our guide told us about either place, but----I remember none of it. Nothing. And every 'new' old place we go is starting to look like the next. If we could, we would give up every second of sight-seeing to be home with our family again. We are waiting for Moses' passport before we move on to Guangzhou, where we will be completing the process to get his visa to enter the states.
Moses continues to adjust. I don't believe he has heard the word 'no' nearly enough in his little life, but we are making up ground fast. It has led to many pouty looks cast in my direction, his refusal to even look in my direction and the shaking of his head to say 'no' back to me. We have found he can hold a grudge quite a while if allowed to sulk. His little heart is usually won over with a quick game of peek-a-boo. Then, he is all smiles again.
Today, we are off to a privately run, Christian orphanage about an hour from Beijing. We are going with our travel mates, Jamie and Tyler, who arranged the trip and were gracious enough to include us. We'll tour their facility, have lunch and get a couple opportunities to play and interact with the children. Please pray for our boys' hearts, that they would not fear being abandoned again or staying at the orphanage, that their hearts would be secure in their parents' love for them.
Oh and thank you all for praying for Jamie and Tyler. Their son, Kai, continues to improve each day! Praise the Lord! We love you and miss home terribly

  1. Hey. You sound like you are done and ready for the trip to end. We will pray for you to endure, for your days to seem like hours and your hours like minutes, that before you realize it the trip is over and you are bringing Moses home to reunite with the rest of your family.
