New Things

Our morning today was busy with sight-seeing.  We went to the Forbidden City and Tian An Men Square.  The highs were in the upper 30's and, yes, we were cold!  We walked around for an hour and a half before heading to lunch.  Moses was exceptionally giggly today.  He was laughing about everything, which gave us great photo opportunities.

The highs of giggles were great but didn't fully prepare me for the crash of the lows.  He spent more time in tears today than any other day.  I suspect some of his earlier running to get into things was his way of handling what was happening.  He was more still today.  He also heard the word NO often and it resulted in tears.  Naptime and bedtime are huge battles.  He simply doesn't want to sleep.  He needs to sleep, he shows all the signs of sleepy, but refuses to do so--without crying.    Tonight, it was 11 pm before I finally was able to put him in his bed.

He also isn't feeling great.  He has gone from eating anything and everything in sight without stopping to picking at his food and eating very little.  Please pray his little belly will feel better.

We skipped dinner with the group and just hung out in the room.  I slept and Mario played with Moses.  I could probably write more, but I am still tired and need to head to bed.  Love you all.

  1. Jacob has a hard time with being told "no". But he survived and now we rarely have to say no to him. As you probably already know, one month from now Moses will be a different boy and into your routine. I love the pictures today.

  2. Lisa,
I just caught up on your blog since returning to the women's retreat. Moses is so precious. I love the pictures of him with Mario. God is so good! I'm praying you all will get some sleep!
